Andy & Sue Nee, Wedding Day, Much More!

Well... 2018 turns out to be a good year for going thru some old photo negatives!

First, it's the handiwork of pictures that Grandpa, George C Baker snapped all those years ago. He must have known how important these would be in the future.

We had one set of negatives which we hadn't converted to photos yet. These pictures are from that batch. There are about 50 photos in this set. What a find to rediscover those photographs.

The first 14 shots are of Andy & Sue (Shaw) Nee, on their wedding day, Sep 20, 1952. These might be old photos that you've already seen... but if you haven't seen them, they will be a treat.

Probably taken at the church in Quincy, MA and we think in the back yard of Guy & Alice (Hiltz) Shaw's place?? We could use some help on that part! Because Andy Nee & Chet Baker were so close as cousins & friends, they are a lot of photos of them. Some of these are good quality shots too... what a bonus!! I've got a few questions...., are the bridesmaids her sisters and who are the groomsmen??? Just trying to keep everyone straight. Lol! You will notice that Charlene is in a lot of these pictures  too and she looks good. She may be our "go to" person for the who, is who?

Just as a small aside, when my mom, Shirley died, Jan 13, 2001  we had the funeral in Concord, NH  at Waters Funeral Home. It warmed our hearts to see David & Andy there to be with our family. It meant a lot that they were both there. Especially for Andy who drove all the way up here from Massachusetts to pay his respects.  It was great to have his presence there. Can't believe it was just a few weeks later that Andy passed over! Thanks Andy!

One Note: We've included 5 or 6 photos that many of you may have already seen, however it seemed to make more sense to put them in this group of pictures so you could see the new and the old photos together.

There are also about 25 photos some are taken at 103 South St, Concord, NH, where the Baker's used to live. Some of these we've seen before, but most of these I have never been seen. Some of these negatives are a different format and older than the wedding day photos. There are some great shots here too. Many of the photos were taken in mid 1930's, 1940's into the 1950's.

To see some pictures of my Mom, "Shirley," and her family that we have never seen before.... is really special. We are hoping that some of you also find that special picture of your family member.

The next set is a group of 7 photos in front of a ranch style house. There is a great shot of James J Manning, Ma, Helen (Harlan) Manning, Florence (Manning) Nee & Mary (Manning) Baker. We are guessing the date... Ca 1950???

There are a couple kids in one picture, so if someone knows who they are, let me know. With names we can hopefully put a date on it too. We also don't recognize the ranch house that it is in the background. Does anyone know anything about it?

The last group shows another house that we don't recognize. It has wider siding that looks like the old asbestos siding that was used a lot back in early 1950's. Do any of you know whose house this is?

There are several photos with a group of two or three people or more, found in this location. I've included one that Charlene gave me that shows Helen (Manning) Mayo, Helen (Harlan) Manning, Charles N Mayo and Charlene Mayo. This picture appears to be part of the original set. The front yard has a wooden "Lawn Ornament of a Little Girl watering her flower with a Watering Can" that shows up in all these photos. We could use some feedback on the dates on the photos & who own the house.

This photo, was given to us by Charlene, I hope it's ok. If it's not ok.... let me know and I'll pull it.
We think the photo was taken on the same day.
This is not a real good B&W, but it probably was just washed out.
Note: Here is the "Little Miss Gardener, Her Water Can & Flower" down below.

Charlene Mayo, Sue Shaw & Andy Nee, Ca 1951 - 1952. We are using Charlene to set the dates for these photos. That would mean she'd be about 5 or 6 years old? Let us know what you think??? It's a great shot with Andy, Sue & Charlene!
